Events
no matter how many times a person might attend them present a complicated landscape for the attendee. For some that is the attraction, the ability to navigate large crowds with their intricate knowledge of the event. For others this is a reason not to attend, too many people, an overwhelming number of attractions. However, an attendee is there at one moment looking at a map and trying to decide, “What now?” Our maps help make that decision a whole lot easier.
User generated content.
Maps can help people connect, to help them actually execute things in the world around them. We have several projects that allow users to contribute data actually taken in the world to help people shovel sidewalks, or improve their bike infrastructure.
History
Putting photographs or the past into their context helps people relate closer with the past. By geolocating photos, and georeferencing map and old aerial photography our maps can help bring history to the places where it actually happened.
